I don’t know how I forgot to post this, but I met Ben Barnes at the ASOCAS convention back in May and I showed him my Darklina poem and he liked it and I melted. No, I genuinely melted. My feet gave out in front of him of of nervousness and he was so sweet and polite.

“For you, I’ll draw a heart in eclipse.”

Hey Disney

If you ever want to make another movie with Cinderella characters, I know exactly who I want to see it of

I’d love to see a movie with the parents of Cinderella’s prince, I’d love to know more about her

I’d love to see the moment the two of them met on the beach and reached for the same seashell, how the two of them would still have fun dancing together even though she would still end up stepping on his feet every time and that didn’t stop him from adoring her

I’d love to see the woman that gave birth to my favorite Disney Prince. The man that was willing to jump out a window, run away from the guards and through the palace gates as they were closing, and barely batted an eye when his horse bucked him off its back, causing him to fly off a cliff and slide down onto a ship as he was trying to save Cinderella from being banished.

I’d love to see more about the king too

The man who became like a father to Anastasia. Who let her keep the seashell, his and the queen’s most prized possession, even after everything she did while telling her that everyone deserves true love. Who was willing to go along with his son’s plan to find the girl he danced with at the ball, and was willing to call off the guards and let him chase after Cinderella when he realized just how much his son loved her.

Even though I know it will likely hurt, likely falling in love with her character and knowing that she dies years before Cinderella and the prince meet, I want more about these two.

calling my lover “mine” but not in the way that my toothbrush or notebook are mine, mine in the way my neighborhood is mine, and also everybody else’s, “mine” like mine to tend to, mine to care for, mine to love. “mine” not like possession but devotion.

Not “belongs to me”; “belongs with me.”
